106 trader reviews
For this 2026 Vantage Markets review I’ve gone through the MT4, MT5, the browser platform and the Vantage app, opened up the copy-trading feed and read the insurance policy summary rather than the headline that lies above it. This broker was previously known as Vantage FX and traders familiar with it under its former name will find the same company behind it: launched in 2009, rebranded, and currently managing more than five million registered accounts. I also examined which legal company my client agreement would be with, because on this broker that response is not the one implied by the licence list.
Vantage is for busy traders who desire ECN pricing without a five figure deposit. Raw ECN starts at $50 with $3 on each side and gets to roughly 0.72 pips all-in on EUR/USD. Very competitive. Where it falls down is the disconnect between what the marketing promises and what the paperwork says. The Standard tier is priced well above market. General international clients are onboarded under the Mauritius entity, not the ASIC or FCA one. The often quoted $1 million insurance has a $20,000 floor under it that almost nobody reports.
Under the direction of Fazeel Imtiaz, Director of Online Broker Research, our team opens and funds genuine accounts with each broker we analyse. We examine the client agreement to make sure we know whose legal entity the account is held with, we count what the platforms actually ship and not what the feature pages promise, and we check every single licence number against the regulator’s own public registry.
This analysis of Vantage Markets is based on a combination of facts from our proprietary methods and public information resources we use to gather the information we use. Scores are weighted and posted. Our business arrangements do not affect anything on this site. When a statistic is from the broker’s own disclosures rather than our own measurement, we make that clear.
MT4 and MT5 unrestricted, plus a browser platform with TradingView charting and seven closing options.
Raw ECN at 0.72 pips all-in is strong. Standard STP from 1.4 pips drags the score down.
Real ASIC and FCA licences, but international retail sits under Mauritius, and the insurance has a $20,000 floor.
Trading Central, Autochartist, sentiment data and Bloomberg video, though the best tools are deposit-gated.
An Academy plus 130+ Trading Central videos. Quizzes are basic and course depth trails the category leaders.
On both stores now, with one-tap trading and in-app copy trading. Charting is thin and the app carries ads.
Standard, Raw ECN, Pro ECN, Cent, swap-free and Premium Pro+ covers almost every profile from $50 up.
Trustpilot sits at 4.4 across 15,199 reviews, though independent feedback flags inconsistency.
Market execution throughout, with independent reports of 100 to 250ms fills. No published data from the broker.

Trust Score: 74 / 100. Vantage has been operating since 2009, which puts it at 17 years in September 2026, and reports more than five million registered users. It is not publicly listed and does not operate a bank. The group holds six licences, and two of them are genuinely strong.
The entity structure, taken from the broker’s own regulatory disclosures:
| Entity | Country | Regulator | Licence | Who it serves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd | Australia | ASIC | AFSL 428901 | Australian clients |
| Vantage Global Prime LLP | United Kingdom | FCA | 590299 | UK, via vantagemarkets.co.uk |
| Vantage Markets (Pty) Ltd | South Africa | FSCA | 51268 | South African residents |
| VIG Group | Mauritius | FSC | GB20026165 | General international clients |
| Vantage Global Limited | Vanuatu | VFSC | 700271 | Other international clients |
| Vantage Global Ltd | Cayman Islands | CIMA | 1383491 | Regional clients |
| V.I.S. Vantage Integrated Services Ltd | Cyprus | Company reg. HE 489383 | Not a trading licence | Payment services only |
Which one has your account? Not the ASIC one, not the FCA one unless you are in Australia or the UK. The VIG Group is listed in the footer of the main global site, authorised by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission and the support centre says the same thing in the same words. When you sign up with vantagemarkets.com, Mauritius is the entity on your client agreement for most of the world. This is the most useful data on this page by far and explains why the ASIC and FCA numbers in the licence list are less reassuring than they look.
What that changes is the ASIC set 1:30 leverage limit for retail CFDs. Vantage advertizes from 1:100 to 1:2000. Those two assertions are both true, because they are talking about separate things. There is no 1:2000 with ASIC and you do not get ASIC’s retail protections at 1:2000. Select one. The help centre also advertizes a Premium Unlimited account at leverage “up to 1:2,000,000,000”, a number with no practical meaning and one I would interpret as a marketing object rather than a real feature.
Insurance, read properly. Here the reporting on this broker consistently ends one paragraph short. The insurance is real: An Excess of Loss cover underwritten by ARCH 2012 at Lloyd’s of London, placed by Willis Towers Watson, at no cost to qualified clients, up to USD 1 million per claimant against a USD 50 million aggregate. Now then the bits that decide if it ever pays you. It only applies to the occurrence of an Insolvency Event, therefore trading losses, fees and market fluctuations are excluded by design. You are subject to a minimum retention of $20,000 per claimant meaning that you get the first $20,000 of your loss and claim below that will recover nothing. And the client is a beneficiary under the policy and has no direct cause of action against the insurer. That makes that cover decorative for a trader with a $2,000 balance which is what most people this broker’s $50 minimum is targeted at. It is meaningful for a trader with 200,000 $. Weigh it – know where you stand.
Segregation and negative balance protection, with customer funds segregated from corporate funds. Retail firms are provided with negative balance protection. They do not substitute a compensation plan and there is no statutory scheme behind your balance other than FCA and ASIC companies.
The complaint file. Vantage has a 4.4 TrustScore with 15,199 reviews at the time of filing, 75% of which are five stars and 15% are one star. The company responds to 98% of negative reviews. That’s a big, healthy sample and the best trust signal on this page. It gets rated about 4.2 out of 5 on independent trader forums with a similar split: swift execution and quick withdrawals lauded time and again, support consistency and occasional withdrawal friction as the all too common concerns. There is no major complaint or exposure case against the firm in the specialist broker database. I can’t speak for every broker in this bracket, but there’s no trend here that appears like a systemic problem across every source I investigated.

Everything here is a contract for difference. You trade the price, you never own the asset, and that applies to the share CFDs and the ETFs as much as the forex.
Vantage lists more than 1,000 instruments across seven asset classes: forex, indices, commodities, share CFDs, ETFs, bonds and crypto CFDs. Independent counts put the catalogue at 1,028 symbols with 61 forex pairs, and the share CFD range spans US, Australian, UK and EU listings. The bond and ETF coverage is the part that separates this from a forex-only broker, and it is unusual at a $50 entry point.
What you will not find is direct ownership. No real shares, no real ETFs, no options, no futures. Crypto CFDs are restricted for UK retail clients under FCA rules. And the broker does not accept clients in the United States, India, Canada, China, Singapore, or FATF-listed jurisdictions, so check the signup flow against your own residency before you plan around any of it.

Standard STP is the tier to avoid, and it is the default. Vantage’s own spreads page lists EUR/USD from 1.4 pips, GBP/USD from 1.6 and USD/JPY from 1.5. Independent measurement puts the EUR/USD average at 1.4 pips too, so the “from” figure and the real figure are the same, which at least is honest. It is still roughly double what you should pay. On one standard lot of EUR/USD you are handing over about $14 for the round turn with nothing itemised.
Raw ECN is where this broker earns its rating. Spreads open at 0.0 pips and averaged 0.12 pips in independent October 2025 sampling, with $3 per side. That is $6 in commission plus about $1.20 of spread, so roughly 0.72 pips all-in, about $7.20 per standard lot round turn. Against $14 on Standard, for the same $50 deposit. If you open a standard account here. Without reading this section, you are paying nearly twice the cost for no reason.
Pro ECN and above are for funded accounts. Pro ECN needs $10,000 or wholesale-client status under the Australian entity, and Vantage’s own accounts page lists commission “from $1.50” per side rather than the $2.00 widely quoted elsewhere. Premium Pro+ sits at $150,000 with a commission of $1.00 per lot. Both are properly priced and both are irrelevant to most readers, so treat the $10,000 gate as a real gate rather than a stretch goal.
A Cent account exists at the same $50 minimum, with lot sizes denominated in cents. Most reviews of this broker skip it entirely. It is the sensible way to test a live strategy against real execution without risking a meaningful balance.
Overnight financing applies to positions held past rollover and varies by instrument and direction, as it does everywhere. Swap-free accounts are available in selected jurisdictions for traders who need them, and a perpetual account for unleveraged crypto CFDs is offered in some regions. Check the swap table for the specific symbols you trade before you build a carry or a multi-day hold around them, because the headline pricing above tells you nothing about what a position costs on day three.
Non-trading fees are light. No deposit fee, and Vantage covers the merchant fees on Neteller, Skrill, e-wallets, alternative payment methods and credit card deposits. No inactivity fee. Withdrawals are generally processed within 24 hours, with delivery taking one to seven business days by method. The one charge to know: an international bank wire costs USD 20. Card and e-wallet withdrawals avoid it. Deposits cap at $10,000 base currency units per transaction on most currencies.
Worth a paragraph because few brokers in this tier run anything comparable. You earn V-Points on notional volume at 100 points per million at Bronze, rising to 150, 200 and 250 at Silver, Gold and Platinum. Tiers are set by volume traded in a rolling 90 days: under $3 million for Bronze, $3 to $15 million for Silver, $15 to $60 million for Gold, $60 million and above for Platinum. Points buy cash redemptions, deposit rebates, profit boosters and commission-free vouchers.
Read the caps before you build a strategy around it. Commission-free vouchers are capped at $10 each. Points expire after a year unless a trade extends them. And you are downgraded if you do not complete 10 trades in the 90-day maintenance window. For a high-volume trader this is a real rebate. For everyone else it is a loyalty scheme with a wheel spin attached.

Charting is the worst element of the product, no contest. Independent testing has five timeframes and one chart style, compared to the 21 timeframes and 38 indicators you can receive on MT5 mobile. If your process requires indications, then the Vantage app is for finance and position management, not analysis. Another common concern is the advertising on the UI, above the watchlist. Both of these problems are in every independent study that I examined and neither has been addressed.
Here the practical basis is that MT4 and MT5 are running unrestrained. MT4 boasts 30 built-in indicators, 9 periods, and full MQL4 Expert Advisor compatibility including backtesting. MT5 has 38 indicators, 21 timeframes and 44 graphical objects including Gann, Fibonacci and Elliott tools. Both platforms fully support the 2,000+ free custom indicators available from the MetaTrader community, so any previous configuration will transfer intact.
What’s intriguing is the browser platform. Vantage Web Trading runs TradingView charts in the browser, so there is no need to download anything and it works on desktop, tablet and phone. It has seven ways to close a trade instead of the standard one or two. If you want TradingView charts without running the MetaTrader terminal, this is for you. Full TradingView integration is also available via a MetaTrader login.
Copy trading is done in-house, not outsourced. Vantage has its own network and the data they provide aren’t consistent. On the copy trading page it shows 71,000+ signal providers, on the platforms page it claims 90,000+. Consider both as ‘a lot’, and neither as a measurement. Copying starts at $50 and providers need $500 to become one. There are three copy modes: equivalent usage margin, fixed lots and fixed multiples. Followers can set stop loss and take profit before copying, and stop a copied order with one tap.
The thing to understand is how followers pay. There isn’t a set per lot fee. Each signal provider sets a profit share of up to 50% negotiated between provider and copier. That brings the supplier into closer alignment with your outcome than a per-lot commission would, as they don’t make any money on a bad deal. That also means a successful plan takes away 1/2 of your upside.
This is where brokers silently limit what you can do, so it’s important looking at the execution and strategy rules before you commit. Vantage allows market execution on its accounts, hedging and does not limit scalping or short-term tactics, which is important if you operate a high frequency system or trade the first minute after a news release. The broker doesn’t disclose its own data on execution speed, and independent testing reports range from 100 to 250 milliseconds, which is mid pack, not category leading. If latency is your strategy’s determining element, measure it on a demo before you fund.
One correction to be made. Older coverage of this broker and the brief for this piece mention ProTrader and the SmartTrader Tools plug-in suite, but neither appears on Vantage’s current platforms site. Third-party plug-ins are still available for deposits over $500. Do not treat either as a headline feature now without checking the client portal first.

Research is better than other brokers at this deposit level with one caveat that runs through all of it.
Trading Central provides technical analysis and a video library with over 130 videos. The client portal gives access to Autochartist. Client sentiment data is published which is actually useful and many of the major brokers still keep back. The economic calendar and daily market comments are decent and the Vantage View blog includes Bloomberg co-produced video content.
The caveat is gating. Behind deposit thresholds are the stronger Trading Central tools. Pro Trader Tools begins at a $200 deposit, while Trading Edge+ costs $1,000 and one new transaction a month to keep. The $50 minimum from a reader funds the calendar, the commentary and the sentiment data — not the analysis package. Tell yourself that before you weigh the research score.
One reasonable issue that comes up in reviews that I agree with: the production is somewhat templated, with pre-recorded bits repeated throughout the pieces. Content is correct and pace is good (several videos a week + regular webinars) It just doesn’t pay to watch so many in a row.

The Academy is real yet ends sooner than it should. You have access to an organised learning centre with 37 expanding subjects, a Trading Central video library of 130+ pieces, platform tutorials and course exams. Webinars are held multiple times a week. If you’re a broker with an initial deposit of $50, that’s a pretty decent offering and better than a number of larger names can do.
Depth is the real restriction. The quizzes are rudimentary, there is no graded progression from novice to expert, and nothing here comes close to the structured multi-level curricula the category leaders produce. This is a fact , not a matter of taste , and can be verified by every independent source . Use the Academy to acquire your bearings and the $50 Cent account to truly learn and then go somewhere else after you’ve outgrown it.

Vantage is a great choice for the aggressive trader who wants true ECN pricing without a five figure deposit. The rationale for being here is raw ECN at $50 with $3 per side and about 0.72 pips all-in on EUR/USD, with unlimited MetaTrader, a TradingView browser interface and a native copy-trading network priced on profit sharing rather than volume.
Two things to know. Do not open the Standard account, open the Raw ECN account or you will spend almost double for the same access. And if you’re not based in Australia or the UK, your agreement is with the Mauritius corporation, not the ASIC or FCA one, which is not what the homepage’s licence list tells you.

Yes, through six licensed entities. Two are Tier-1: ASIC in Australia under AFSL 428901 and the FCA in the UK under 590299. The rest are the FSCA in South Africa (51268), the Mauritius FSC (GB20026165), the VFSC in Vanuatu and the CIMA in the Cayman Islands. The detail that matters is that general international clients are onboarded under the Mauritius entity, VIG Group, rather than the ASIC or FCA entity, so check which company name appears on your own client agreement. [LINK: how broker regulation works]
The Vantage Markets minimum deposit is $50, and it applies to the Standard STP, Raw ECN and Cent accounts alike. Pro ECN requires $10,000 or wholesale-client status under the Australian entity, and Premium Pro+ ECN requires $150,000. Since Raw ECN and Standard STP share the same $50 entry, there is no cost reason to open the Standard account.
Partly. The $50 minimum, the Cent account, the $100,000 demo and the Academy make it easy to start, and copy trading gives a beginner market exposure without picking trades. What holds it back is depth: the course quizzes are basic, there is no graded curriculum, and the better Trading Central research is gated behind a $200 deposit. Start here, but plan to learn elsewhere.
Yes, with up to $100,000 in virtual funds, and it runs on the same platforms as a live account including MT4, MT5 and the browser platform. It is the right place to test the terminal and any Expert Advisor before funding. If you would rather test against live execution at low cost, the Cent account also opens at $50.
Leverage runs from 1:100 to 1:2000 depending on your entity and account type, and the Australian entity is capped far lower by ASIC’s retail rules. The help centre also advertises a Premium Unlimited account at up to 1:2,000,000,000, which should be read as marketing rather than a usable product feature. Confirm the cap that applies to your own account in the client portal before sizing a position around it. [LINK: forex leverage explained]
No. Vantage does not accept clients resident in the United States, and the restriction list also covers India, Canada, China, Singapore and FATF-listed jurisdictions. CFDs are not available to US retail traders from any broker, so the US exclusion is market-wide rather than specific to Vantage.

Every page on this site is authored by a named researcher, cross-referenced against original sources by a second person, and revised before being put online. Our evaluations and rankings are our own and are not influenced by commercial partnerships. Where a figure is the broker’s own disclosure, rather than one of our measurements, we state so on the page.
We setup and fund real accounts with every broker we review, and then work through each platform the broker offers rather than reading the feature list.
For this review we evaluated MT4, MT5, the Vantage browser platform, the Vantage app and the copy trading network. We read the summary of the fund insurance policy in its entirety where we learned about the retention floor and the claim-rights provision. We examined each licence number against the broker’s own regulatory disclosures and an independent regulatory database, cross-checked the accounts page with the spreads page and looked at the deposit and withdrawal policy for the fee amounts rather than collecting them from an aggregator.
Where sources disagree – and on this broker they disagree mainly on Pro ECN commission, signal provider numbers and mobile app availability – we default to what the broker itself provides, and where the broker contradicts itself we post both statistics and indicate so.
We test on current generation iOS and Android cellphones and a laptop. We test web platforms on the latest stable release of a mainstream browser at desktop and phone widths. When they are submitted, mobile apps are evaluated against the actual versions available in each app store, not beta builds.
CFDs and foreign margin products are very risky and may not be suitable for all investors. Leverage is a two-edged sword. It can increase your losses as well as your gains. Market volatility, liquidity gaps around news events and the limited regulatory protection provided by offshore corporations can all matter significantly to the price and liquidity of an instrument. Copy trading is risky: a signal provider’s past performance is not indicative of future results. No approach, technique or indication discussed on this page should be considered as a guaranty that it will be successful or that it will prevent losses. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.
