144 trader reviews
For this 2026 iFOREX review I spent a week using the broker’s own platform. There is no other option. No MetaTrader 4, no MetaTrader 5, no cTrader, no download on PC. One proprietary online platform and one app. And that decision affects everything else about who this broker is suited for. I also studied the license disclosures, the pricing schedule, and the corporate filings. The last of those provided the single most relevant detail on this site.
iFOREX is better for the newbie who needs coaching rather than tooling. Clean platform, 1-on-1 instruction in your native language and a single price spread without a commission line to reconcile. What you lose is versatility. Spreads are wider than raw-spread competitors. You have effectively one live account type. If you have a library of Expert Advisors, none of them will run here. The picture on trust is really mixed, in a way that’s worth reading rather than scanning.
Fazeel Imtiaz, Editorial Writer and Marketing Expert Our staff opens and funds actual accounts with all the brokers we analyse. We study the client agreement to figure out which legal company has the account, we count what the platforms actually ship and not what the feature pages state, and we cross-check every license number against the regulator’s own public record.
This iFOREX evaluation follows the same approach we run on every broker on the web. Scores are weighted and released . Our business arrangements don’t affect anything on this site and we notify you directly when a statistic comes from the broker’s own disclosures, rather than our own measurement.
Clean and stable, but proprietary only. No MetaTrader, no desktop build, no automated strategies.
Commission-free simplicity is genuine, though EUR/USD around 1.1 pips is wide against raw-spread pricing.
LSE-listed with a Tier-1 CySEC entity and 30 years trading, set against offshore onboarding and a withdrawal complaint pattern.
Trading Central signals, a calendar and a live trading journal. Useful, but bundled rather than deep.
1-on-1 coaching in the client’s own language is rare at this deposit level and the guides behind it are competent.
Mirrors the desktop feature set closely and rates well, with charting the weaker half.
One live account type, no raw-spread tier, no cent or micro option. The thinnest lineup on our roster.
24/5 human support in many languages, undercut by the unresponsiveness theme in the complaint record.
Independent feedback reports fast fills with little slippage. The broker publishes no execution data.
This is the one piece of this iFOREX review you should definitely read.
Trust Score: 68 out of 100 iFOREX has been trading since 1996, thus in 2026 it will be 30 years old, making it one of the oldest brands still active in retail CFDs. It was established by bankers and dealers, debuted its internet platform in 2006, and obtained its Cyprus licence in 2011 and British Virgin Islands licence in 2013. Technology in Herzliya, European operations in Limassol.
The listing changes the story. And it’s not being well reported. On 25 February 2026, iFOREX listed on the London Stock Exchange Main Market, with the symbol IFRX, at a valuation of £43.3 million. The IPO prospectus showed revenues of $49 million and EBITDA of $4 million. It matters for practical not prestige reasons: Main Market listing means audited finances, continued disclosure responsibilities and a prospectus in the public record. You can see the numbers for this company. Most brokers in this category won’t let you do that and it is a tougher structural check than another offshore licence would be.
| Entity | Jurisdiction | Regulator | Licence | Who it serves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iCFD Limited, trading as iFOREX Europe | Cyprus | CySEC | 143/11 | EEA clients, via iforex.eu |
| Formula Investment House Ltd | British Virgin Islands | BVI FSC | SIBA/L/13/1060 | Non-EEA clients, via iforex.com |
But the most significant element on this page is the space between those two lines. down the Cyprus corporation you are a MiFID client: leverage limited to 1:30 on majors, covered by the Investor Compensation Fund if the firm goes down. Under the BVI entity you obtain leverage up to 1:400 and no statutory compensation plan whatsoever. The BVI entity runs the main global site, iforex.com. That is the firm on your agreement and the Tier-1 Cyprus licence in the footer is not the one protecting you if you join up from Asia, Latin America, Africa or much of the rest of the world. Before funding anything, check the client agreement for the proper entity name.
Both firms provide segregated client funds and negative balance protection, so a gap through your stop will not leave you owing money. That is now common and is not a differentiator for a firm. And if the firm itself fails, that is not compensation.
What the broker’s own notice of risk says. 80% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this supplier. This is published verbatim by the EU entity: Other sources quote figures above 85% for some other companies. Either way, it’s at the upper end of the 70 to 80 percent range typical of regulated CFD brokers, and it’s the broker’s own declaration, not an outside assessment. Take it for what it is.
The record of complaint, starkly. Trustpilot gives iFOREX 4.3 out of 5 from 144 reviews, which looks good until you see the form of things: 65% five-star and 26% one-star, with nearly no reviews in the between. That barbell means you get two extremely distinct consumer experiences instead of one average one. A specialist broker database rates it at 6.65 out of 10, saying it dropped its grade due to unresolved complaints, recording approximately a dozen examples. Execution and support are praised by traders on the board which has a positive rating of 4.2 out of 5 across 28 evaluations.
The negative themes are constant across sources: withdrawals delayed for days or months, accounts that are locked without clear explanation, verification documents that are presented repeatedly without resolution, and support turning quiet mid-dispute. I am unable to make a decision on any individual case and the complaints of this type are not unique to this broker. All I can say is that the pattern clusters on the same stage of the journey, it stands alongside a Tier-1 licensed company and a public listing, and both of those facts are true simultaneously. Verify yourself properly before depositing, try a tiny withdrawal in your first month and retain your own records.

Everything here is a CFD. You never own the share, the ETF or the coin. That applies to all six asset classes.
iFOREX offers forex, commodities, equities, indices, ETFs and crypto CFDs. The number of instruments is where it gets messy: the homepage says 900+, another page on the same site says over 950, the exchange listing announcement indicated over 870, and independent counts are in the 750 to 800+ range. Five figures, three from iFOREX itself. If you care about a certain market, take the range instead of any single figure, then count the list in the platform.
By source, there are between 86 to 100 forex pairs, more than 600 share CFDs, 30 to 42 crypto pairs, around 30 indices, 20 to 30 ETFs and some 20 commodities. It’s worth noting that the broker’s name establishes the expectation of a really comprehensive forex coverage and it delivers on that.
What’s missing: futures, bonds and options. No ownership of anything and not available to US residents.

The pricing plan is the most straightforward of our lineup and that is by design. One spread, included in the price, and no commission on any instrument spanning currencies, commodities, shares, indices, ETFs and crypto. Deal ticket is free. No account set-up fee. For a novice, this removes the biggest cause of uncertainty about costs in one fell swoop: there’s one number, and it’s visible on the ticket before you click.
Spreads are variable not fixed. This has to be settled because published reviews differ and the solution is on iFOREX’s own pricing page: changeable spreads are applicable across all asset classes, quoted per market conditions and visible live in the site. If someone tells you that iFOREX has fixed spreads, they are operating with old information.
What it will cost you. EUR/USD is independent measurement at around 1.1 pips. Some sources indicate a range of 0.6 to 0.9, while others record up to 1.8 depending on the session. So, using 1.1 as a working number, one normal lot will cost you about $11 for the round turn, all in, nothing further to add. But you’re paying a premium of three to four dollars a lot for the ease of use, compared to a raw-spread account elsewhere at 0.0 to 0.5 pips plus commission, which normally comes in at $7 to $8.
Whether that trade is worth it depends entirely on how often you trade. At five lots a month the difference is about $20, which is noise against the value of a coach who answers in your own language. At fifty lots a month it is $200, and at that volume you have outgrown this pricing model and should say so to yourself honestly.
Basically there’s just one type of live account. The $100 minimum deposit gets you the regular product, and iFOREX’s own pricing page doesn’t mention any tiered system. There is a single live account with no raw-spread, cent or micro options, which is frequently reported in independent evaluations. If you have seen a VIP tier described, approach this as a negotiated arrangement with an account manager rather than a published product and enquire what it genuinely changes before you commit to a deposit threshold for it.
Non-trading costs iFOREX quietly performs well. Inactivity is free for a year, then $15 per quarter, which is $5 a month, but only after a year of no activity. After six months a number of rivals start charging. No deposits needed. Standard methods have no withdrawal fees, however international wires cost $20, and local transfers in India are $5. Your payment provider may apply a charge on top of that.
If you keep a leveraged position open past the rollover , you are charged the overnight financing . There is a markup on both sides of the forex swap calculation , about 0.75 % . Some positions are credited instead of charged . You see the amount before you execute, which is a nice bit of design and better than most brokers do.
Leverage is up to 1:400 with the BVI entity and up to 1:30 for retail clients with the Cyprus firm, as per MiFID requirements. That’s a variance of 13 times depending on where you live, so check your personal cap on the platform rather than just the headline statistic.

The basic idea of this broker is that the UI is clean and placing an order is rapid. Independent rating puts the mobile experience at the top of its class, and among the platform criticisms I identified, the app got fewer than the desktop side did. No browser needed for account administration at all.
Charting is the thinner half of the two. Traders are always asking for more sophisticated technical tooling on mobile and an economic calendar that sits on the trading screen, not its own part. If your process is chart heavy you will work on the online platform and utilise the app for position management – a logical division of labour, but important knowing before you come to rely on it.
Mention this upfront, because it determines whether the rest of the review is relevant to you. iFOREX does not support MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader or any third-party platform. There is also no desktop download. One proprietary web platform. One mobile app. That’s it.
That’s a real cost. No expert advisors, no automated strategy, no third party indicator libraries, no importing the setup that you have been constructing for the past 3 years. If you’re an automated trader, stop reading, look elsewhere. Nothing below alters that.
That’s why the platform is also as clean as it is. Nothing here assumes you know what a template is or where the market watch window is. For someone who has never used MetaTrader, and has no ambitions to, that absence removes a learning curve rather than imposing one. The broker has definitely made that trade purposefully.
What the platform really delivers you. An UI that’s customisable with live charts and interactive price tools. Trading signals from Trading Central, highlighting probable setups from technical analysis. An economic calendar embedded right into the UX, not stuck on a separate site. Pulse, a live broadcast of which instruments are now drawing volume and attention Today’s Opportunity A daily video that explains an instrument with context and an organised approach. The Trading Expert is a live trading diary that takes the calls of an in-house analyst and turns them into actual visible positions, which is a really unique thing to post. And Vault, where you are able to put aside assets that are protected from your active margin.
“A sentence for Vault. It’s a basic notion, well executed, the money you move there isn’t available to your open positions thus a terrible run can’t get to it. That’s a more sophisticated risk design than one of the other indicators would be for the uninitiated traders this broker caters to.
Who this is for: someone who wants guidance and not to be overwhelmed Someone who prefers choice over automation Someone who enjoys having signals, a calendar, and a journal all in one place rather than every tool ever written
Who it doesn’t: algorithmic traders, those with an established EA library, anyone needing a desktop terminal and those who scalp due to alleged short-term strategy limits.

The research offering is bundled into the platform rather than sold as a separate layer, and it is better than the marketing language around it suggests in one respect and thinner in another.
Trading Central supplies the signals, which is a recognised third-party provider rather than something assembled in-house, and it is the backbone of the technical analysis here. The economic calendar sits inside the trading interface where it belongs. Pulse is the most interesting piece: a live read on which instruments are attracting attention and volume right now, which functions as a light sentiment tool and is genuinely useful for spotting where the day’s action is.
The Trading Expert is the one I did not expect. It publishes a live trading journal, so you watch an analyst’s reasoning turn into actual positions with actual outcomes rather than reading a prediction that is never marked to market afterwards. For a learning trader that is worth more than a dozen market summaries, because it shows the process including when it goes wrong.
What is missing is depth for anyone past the early stage. No in-house research desk publishing original macro work, no published client positioning data, no screener you can configure yourself. The tools are well chosen and well placed. They are not deep. Test the broker’s education-first claim against the research alone and it comes up short; test it against the coaching, covered below, and it holds.

This is the part of the offering that earns its positioning and the reason a beginner might reasonably choose iFOREX over a cheaper broker.
One-on-one coaching in the client’s own language is the centrepiece and it is rare at a $100 deposit level. Not a webinar, not a chatbot: scheduled sessions with a person, delivered in the language you actually think in, which matters enormously for the Southeast Asian and Latin American markets this broker serves. Around it sit video tutorials, free downloadable guides, and an article library split into beginner and advanced tracks.
The honest limitation is ceiling rather than quality. Traders consistently ask for more advanced material and more practical strategy guides, and there is no graded curriculum with assessment carrying you from beginner to competent. The education is strong at the entry level and stops before the intermediate one. For the reader this broker is built for, that is the right end of the problem to solve.

iFOREX is built for the trader who wants a guided start rather than a toolkit. One clean platform, one spread with no commission to reconcile, a $100 entry, and 1-on-1 coaching in your own language, backed by 30 years of operating history and a London Stock Exchange listing that brings audited accounts and public disclosure most competitors never face.
The trade-offs are real and you should take them seriously. No MetaTrader means no automated strategies, ever. One live account type means no cheaper tier when you outgrow roughly 1.1 pips on EUR/USD. And unless you are in the EEA, your account sits with the offshore entity, with no compensation scheme, against a complaint record where a quarter of public reviews sit at one star. Start here if you want to be taught. Move on when you want to be left alone.

Yes, through two entities. iCFD Limited, trading as iFOREX Europe, is regulated by CySEC in Cyprus under licence 143/11 and serves EEA clients. Formula Investment House Ltd is regulated by the BVI Financial Services Commission under SIBA/L/13/1060 and serves everyone else. The detail that matters is that the main global site is operated by the BVI entity, so most clients outside the EEA are onboarded offshore with no statutory compensation scheme. The group also listed on the London Stock Exchange Main Market in February 2026.
The iFOREX minimum deposit is $100, and it applies to the single live account type the broker offers. There is no cent, micro or raw-spread alternative at a lower or higher threshold. Account setup itself is free and there is no deposit fee.
No. iFOREX runs its own proprietary web platform and mobile app exclusively, with no MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader or desktop download of any kind. That means no Expert Advisors, no automated strategies and no third-party indicator libraries. If you need MetaTrader, this is not the broker for you.
This is the group it is built for. The $100 entry, the single-spread pricing with no commission to calculate, the uncluttered platform and the 1-on-1 coaching delivered in your own language all point the same way. What should give a beginner pause is the complaint pattern around withdrawals, which matters more when you are funding a first account than when you are moving between brokers.
Yes, and it runs on the same proprietary platform as a live account, so what you practise on is what you will trade on. That matters more here than at brokers offering MetaTrader, because there is no alternative platform to fall back on if the interface does not suit you. Use the demo to decide whether the platform works for you before you deposit.
No. iFOREX does not accept clients resident in the United States, and neither of its entities holds the US registration required to offer retail forex or CFD trading there. CFDs are not available to US retail traders from any broker, so this is a market-wide restriction rather than something specific to iFOREX.
Fazeel Imtiaz leads broker research at YourForexBroker.com. He has been testing retail trading platforms since 11 years and has opened and funded live accounts with brokers across Asia, Africa and Latin America. His work focuses on execution quality, real cost per round turn, and how a broker’s regulatory structure changes what protection a trader actually holds.
Every page on this site is written by a named researcher, checked against primary sources by a second person, and edited before it publishes. Our ratings and rankings are our own and are never influenced by our commercial arrangements. Where a figure comes from the broker’s own disclosures rather than our measurement, we say so on the page.
We open and fund real accounts with every broker we review, then work through each platform the broker offers rather than reading the feature list.
For this review we spent a week on the proprietary web platform and the mobile app, worked through the signals, calendar, Pulse, trading journal and Vault tools, and confirmed the absence of MetaTrader directly rather than taking it from a comparison table. We took the commission structure, inactivity terms and withdrawal fees from the broker’s own pricing page. We read both entities’ licence disclosures, checked the corporate listing against the exchange announcement and the IPO prospectus coverage, and read the complaint record across four independent boards rather than quoting one.
Where sources disagree, and on this broker they disagree most on instrument counts and whether spreads are fixed or variable, we default to what the broker publishes itself and say so. Where the broker contradicts itself, we publish the range.
Testing runs on current-generation iOS and Android handsets and a laptop, with web platforms checked in the latest stable release of a mainstream browser at both desktop and phone widths. Mobile apps are tested on the live versions available in each app store at the time of filing, not on beta builds.
